Hello, I have recently finished building the Ft Viggen. It is a plane that is entirely built from reinforced foam board and glued together with hot glue. I will post an update on it and a link to a video of it flying soon .IMG_4135

Update:

I flew very nicely and had an amazingly low stall speed. Full throttle is required in order to launch it. Unfortunately, I was flying on a day where the ground was very damp and once I landed the wings got very wet and started losing their strength. I tried launching it again but the right wing started bending while in flight and resulted in a steep turn followed by a nose-dive into the ground. Just as advertised, The amazing nose took all the impact and the rest of the plane was unharmed. I glued together another nose and taped it on the aircraft. I decided to wait a week until the the wings were dry and to improve the strength, I taped a thin metal rod to the bottom of the wings to stop them from bending. I flew it again and this time tried to keep it in the air as long as possible to avoid the damp ground. It flew very well at first but then I tried to do a barrel roll and it crashed into the ground. Once again, the nose took the impact but the wings were completely bent. I may try to fly it again soon If I can fix it.
